This is Ella. There is nothing cuter than a one year old. The fun part is watching how they are totally all about their selves. Their mom can spend all day preparing for pictures, but it doesn't matter. When it comes down to it, it's whatever they want.

It's so fun for me to get to see these babies grow up. And how cute is this outfit! Her mommy's friend gave it to her who happens to be a fellow business owner here in Aledo. They're the owners of Scentamentals...spell check please!

It's on Bankhead, and used to be called Aledo Candle Company. If you haven't been in there lately, you need to go!!!! Really fun stuff!

This is Becca. She's not only beautiful, photogenic, sweet, but she's well rounded, and was a blast to photograph. She lives in Sugar Tree, which by the way, is my new fav place to photograph.

This is Merideth Birchfield. I photographed her sister's senior portraits a few years ago. It's always fun to do a sibling. I feel like I already know a part of them before I even meet them. However, these two are completely different in their own ways. But both very strong independent women, from what I can tell, and both a blast to photograph.

And this dress was absolutely stunning on her. I loved it!!!

Not to mention her incredible hair...both when curly and straight!

Allright 2009 seniors....you guys have alot to live up to!!!

This is Daisy Mae, or Daisy Delain. All we know is Daisy for now. She's our newest member of the family. She's a precious golden retriever, and she's 6 weeks old. We got her Saturday from a sweet family in Oklahoma, and we're already smitten.

Oh yes, she belongs to my own Carlee Rae, who is having trouble deciding on a middle name.... 'cause every dog needs a middle name!!!

This is my sweet new baby nephew, Maxton Gunner Mullinix. He's just an angel, and we're so excited he's finally here. He was born at Harris Ft. Worth on Monday to his mommy and daddy (Kerri and Bryce) and my awesome nephew Koy. We can't wait for you to get home so we can love you up!!!

By the way, the hands were taken by my daughter Carlee (5 yrs), and the feet by my son Reed (8 yrs). How talented are they!!!

I can't believe it's already April. This is the time of year we like to call "crunch time". It's when the weather gets nice, everything blooms, and then...oh yes, must do senior pics for grad announcements!!!

This is actually my favorite time of year to do them, however. Everyone is tan for prom, and the colors are fab outdoors!! So is the weather. This is Megan. She's a senior at Weatherford High school, and was so fun to shoot.

We headed out to Sugar Tree golf course to shoot her images. The whole time, I couldn't get the song "Shake the Sugar Tree" out of my head. And wow is this place far, but I think from the images she got, it's worth it!

It's springtime, and apparantly that means lots of babies, which I love love love!

My sister in law, who owns a studio in Mansfield, has this theory that all the mammas look smokin' hot in august in their bikinis, so "walla" Babies 9 months later!!! I love it.

Ok Seniors...If you're looking for an original idea for your senior portraits, look no further than your own back yard...literally. Here's some examples of some portraits I took at Emily's house.

She had great "stuff" to photograph with, plus she was personality plus! We had a great time.

You don't have to have anything fancy (a word my 5 year old daughter likes to use). I don't need much to make fabulous portraits of you.

How about a wood pile? :)

As most of you know, I don't do weddings...however, this is a dream shoot for me. A precious bride and groom, and no stress of the wedding! This is how everyone should have their wedding photos done!

They were fab to shoot and absolutely photogenic in every way!

We're back! We had a fabulous Christmas vacation, and we're trying to get back into the swing of thigs! What better to come back to than a sweet baby girl. This is Baby Gough and one of her big brothers.

Isn't she sweet! Congrats parents, and BRING ON THE BABIES!

So, I'm sitting down at my computer, and I realize...2 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!! I cannot say this with enough enthusiasm. We are soooo ready for some R&R. I'm ready to not see a computer for a while, so I thought I'd post one more blog for the year.

We decided to do a little updating ourselves. We haven't had our family picture taken in ages...we always ending up wanting to strangle each other by the time it's over and end up with nothing. My sister in law and I decided to tackle the task of taking our extended family pics for my mother-in-law. She has a studio in Mansfield (www.corrimages.com) and actually took the pics on our Christmas card of my kids!

I definitely need to do this more often. I makes photographers appreciate what people go thru to get their families ready for this!!!!!

(Just be glad you guys didn't have to use the self-timer...I'm sure we both looked really cute pressing the button and running as fast as we could to our positions!)

Sooo, thanks for a great year here at Milestone. We have made some new friends, we've mostly finished working on the project of the year (our new studio), and we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our clients for choosing us to capture your families! I'm going to give my camera and my computer a much needed rest!

Fall is my absolute favorite time to photograph families. The weather's great, and the colors are fabulous. We have a fun idea if you want something different for family portraits, it's...BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR.

I think a person's furniture reflects their style of their house...therefore, if you brought your own chair, your portraits would compliment your decor in your house. Plus it makes really fun portraits!!!
